Custom Embed Block

The Custom Embed block allows you to securely embed certain types of iFrames that contain script tags in them, such as interactives from Tableau.

How to Create a Custom Embed Block

1. Navigate in your WordPress Admin > Custom Embeds
2. Click “Add New Custom Embed”
3. Add a title to your embed
4. Paste your embed content into the “Paste embed content here” field
5. Click “Publish”

How to Insert a Custom Embed Block into a Post

1. Navigate in your WordPress Admin to the Post where you wish to add this block
2. Insert (“+”) the Custom Embed block, located under the “Embeds” section, or you can search for this block in the Block Inserter menu
3. Click on the newly inserted “Custom Embed Block” in your post.
4. In the Block Options in the right sidebar:
   • Click “Select”
   • Search for the Custom Embed block you created in the modal which pops up
   • Click on the embed you created and then click “Select”. The embed will appear in the post and the name of the embed displays in the Block Options under “Custom Embed Picker”.
5. Click “Select”
6. Search for the Custom Embed block you created in the modal which pops up
7. Click on the embed you created and then click “Select”. The embed will appear in the post and the name of the embed displays in the Block Options under “Custom Embed Picker”.
8. Also in the Block Options, you can adjust the height of the iFrame (in pixels – “px”) to ensure your content displays as expected.

Note: You can insert more than one Custom Embed block in your post.
