By default, most sites on the Lede platform have an excerpted RSS feed instead of a full RSS feed to ensure your content is only available in full to your registered and paying subscribers.
Default Feed Location (appended to the end of the URL):
- /feed
- /category/category-name/feed
- /tag-name/feed
- /author/author-name/feed
Full Feed Configuration:
For specific use cases, particularly those involving external services, it may be necessary for you to provide a full RSS feed of your content. The Lede platform supports a protected full RSS feed that uses a short, random key in the URL to authenticate access.
This setting is configured by Lede staff at the network-admin level and is not available in the Publisher App. To set up or rotate your full feed key, please file a support ticket and include:
- The site you would like the full feed enabled on
- The external service or use case the feed will be used for
Once the feed is configured, Lede support will share the full feed URL with you. The end of the URL (everything from /feed onwards, including the key) can be applied to your category, tag, and author feeds as well.
Please be cautious when sharing the full feed URL — it provides all of your site's content in full, even to unregistered and unsubscribed users. If you believe the URL has been compromised, open a ticket and we can rotate the authentication key, which will issue a new URL.
